What is Fly Bracing in Steel Structure?

Fly Bracing is a second structure connected between the roof beam and purlin, column and wall band, bracing connected by roof beam and purlin by 45 degrees, connected to the lower flange plate of the roof beam.

Standard design:

Fly bracing distance of 3m for the construction of a simple steel structure reduces the calculated length of the roof plane, reduces the amount of steel and increases the stability of the steel structure. Usually a steel angle, approximately 50x50x5mm is used.

In the case of a heavy metal work area, the purlin roof using H-section beam, flange bracing will use double L angle bracket which can reduce the amount of roof purlin, saving significantly on the workshop structure.
