Checklist for Block Masonry 

The following points are to be checked at the level of block masonry. 

Pre-Construction :

1)Mention the completion date of the concrete for the respective floor and the date of de shuttering.

2) Check for Cleanness of the area.

3) Check for hacking in Adjoining columns / RCC member 

4 )Thickness of Block to be used (Wall thickness 

5) Max. height of the wall to be built in a day 1 M 

6)Availability of Mortar Mixing machine, measuring box & measuring can/jar for water 

7) Mortar ratio to be used 

) Any reinforcement bars required? 

9)Mention the list of Door, windows, openings, Sleeves/ inserts - location, Size & Levels  (Approved by Civil & MEP Engineer) 

In-Progress :

1)Is the block being used are approved size and mention the QC test report ref no…. ?

2)Is the first course aligned, leveled, plumbed, and Diagonal to the room size?

3) Is the blocks in a semi-dry state?

4) Is the mortar ratio as per the requirement?

5) Check for kitchen platform / Sill slab/loft / lintels. 

Post-Construction :

1) Is the face of the wall straight, plumb, and even?

2 )Are all vertical joints staggered?

3 )Are the joints being racked?

4)Curing - Start ........... End………
